When Henry was just six years old, his school, Odyssey South, was destroyed in the January 2025 Eaton Fire. Determined to make a difference, Henry began baking and selling cookies to raise money for his school and to help San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity rebuild homes in Altadena.
His efforts raised $852, with $500 donated to his school and $352 to SGV Habitat. Henry's kindness and generosity inspired others to "Be Like Henry," with supporters matching his donation and helping raise thousands more for rebuilding efforts.
Now, Henry is at it again!
At eight years old, Henry has found a new way to give back, this time through art. He painted a picture of a home rising from the ashes, symbolizing hope, resilience, and the promise of rebuilding. Henry offered signed prints of his artwork to family and friends in exchange for donations to SGV Habitat.
Through this heartfelt effort, Henry raised an incredible $2,165 to help Altadena families rebuild!
Henry's story reminds us that you are never too young to make a difference and that even the smallest acts of kindness can inspire something extraordinary.
From November 1 through December 1, we're inviting our community to follow Henry's example and help more Altadena families take one step closer to coming home.
Whether you give $21.65, $216.50, or $2,165, every dollar makes a difference.
Together, we can turn Henry's inspiration into lasting impact, helping families rebuild not just their homes, but their hope for the future.
Be Like Henry. Give Hope. Help Rebuild Altadena.
