Welcome Volunteers to the “10 Day ADU Blitz Build!”
We are thrilled to have you volunteer and support our mission to provide safe affordable housing for the community!
Thank you for being a big part of the work SGV Habitat does is transforming communities and we want to share this volunteer opportunity with you of our new ADU Build in Baldwin Park!
Whether you are learning new skills or simply adding a few to your tool belt, this is a rewarding experience for all involved, and one that improves the community you share.
Please see below the following information:
Parking: Street parking only. Please follow all posted street signs and we encourage you to carpool as we cannot guarantee parking spots in the immediate area.
Construction Activities:
Preparation: This event will be taking place outdoors:
- Wear clothes that you do not mind getting dirty.
- Wear sunscreen
- Bring layers of clothes
- Wear shoes that cover whole foot.
- No hats when wearing construction hard hats
- Hair tied back.
- No dangling items from ears or neck.
- Bring water bottle

Habitat Provides:
- All necessary safety information
- Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) will be available.
- Water
- Porta Johns
Age Minimum: Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older.
- 16 -17 years, will be unable to do the following on a construction site

- Handle Power Tools
- Climb Ladders
- Work in heights
Waivers: All volunteers are required to electronically sign their liability waiver before the event.
- Volunteers 16-17 must have a parent/guardian signed the minor waiver.
