Welcome to the Altadena Rebuild!

We are excited to share that San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity is officially in the rebuilding phase in Altadena. This project includes rebuilding a home for a long-time Altadena homeowner whose property was impacted by the recent fires. Every hand makes a difference—no experience is necessary to participate. From framing and siding to painting and landscaping, volunteers play an essential role in bringing this home back to life.

Volunteer Information:

  • Age Requirement: Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Those ages 16–17 must bring a signed minor waiver on the day of service.

How to Prepare:

  • Personal protective gear will be provided on-site. Feel free to bring your own mask, gloves, and goggles if you prefer.

  • Wear closed-toe shoes, long pants and durable clothing (expect to get a little dirty!).

  • Bring a hat, sunscreen, and an extra water bottle.

  • Bring your own packed lunch or arrange for delivery to support a local Altadena business.

  • Street parking will be available. When you arrive, don’t forget to check in at the welcome table to get started for the day.

  • Review county safety guidelines and information about potential hazardous material exposure (links provided).
